Kelp Forests These leafy green forests occur around the coasts of Westsern Europe, South Africa, Southern Australia, America, Southern California, and along the West coast of South America. They only fantastically flourish in rich-nutrient and frosty waters deep depths from 6-100 feet! Kelp Forests grow here because they can protect themselves from the most severe waves. They are also protected by their tough and rubbery covering. These enourmous green leafty poles are amongst the most complex of all algae. Many stretch along vas expanses of a coastline, forming in the deep, cold underwater beds and forests.
